Artist statement.
“If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere”
Vincent van Gogh
Painting is the most powerful art of describing the surrounding world without words.
The brushstrokes, the composition and the colours are used by the painter the same way a writer or poet uses words. A good painting depict the world through the artist eyes, shows everything as seen by the painter, has character and emotions, which you can feel the same as the artist who painted it.
This should be the artist’s main goal, to depict feelings, emotions and effects, rather than objects, but still creating a realistic illusion of the scene.
When painting, you have to paint what you see, regardless if you paint from life, or a photograph. I believe that a painting doesn’t need to be photo realistic or hyper realistic to be good, and in this respect I believe that, when it comes to details, less is more.
Every single painting is, in a way a self portrait of the painter, “a selfie”, because always have some of the artist’s soul.
The aim of the artists is to present the world as seen by their eyes, filtered by them and convince the viewer to look at everything differently, as they never have seen or imagined before.
I started painting five years ago, because I believe that painting makes your life richer and more beautiful. Both, as a painter and as a viewer.
